Maria Teran is a leading professional in the pet care industry who owns her own brand as “Chicawoof!” Maria has been managing and branding her business with a passion and desire to keep Chicago’s best pet buddies happy and safe. She has experience of more than six years in the pet care industry, which has markedly amended her skills and expertise over time.
Chicawoof! was created with the purpose of providing clients with peace of mind by ensuring that all the pets in our hands are being cared for with genuine attention, in the comfort of their own home, while you are away.
Maria owns two pet care businesses in Chicago, Chicawoof! and Field Days Dog Walking. She recently finished her dog grooming certification program and is currently studying to get her Dog Trainer Certification and keep pursuing her passion for canine behavior.

All of our Pet Sitters go through a very thorough screening, vetting, and training process before they earn a spot on our team. We require stellar references, a clean background check, pet first aid certification.

Chicawoof is dedicated to employing only the best, most caring, and qualified pet lovers around. We run each sitter through an extensive screening.All of our Pet Sitters go through a very thorough screening, vetting, and training process before they earn a spot on our team.
We require stellar references, a clean background check, pet first aid certification, and that our sitters complete a two-part orientation process before they receive their first solo assignment. We only work with the best people and hold them to a very high standard! My hiring philosophy is: We can never be too thorough and YOU and your pets can never be too happy!
